Pretty Peggy / Devil Dancing

These two new songs are part of an ongoing project exploring some groove ideas and sounds. The track Devil Dancing was used on the 2021US film release 'Collection' which is available on Amazon Prime and currently touring the US theatre circuit. We're excited to say the next set of tunes will be ready soon and will be available on all Platforms.

Acoustic Butterfly - full album

 

The debut self titled album from Acoustic Butterfly was released shortly after their appearance in the Celtic Connections Danny Kyle finals. The album has been well received world wide with local and national air-play. The tracks have been used by production companies for both TV and film. The music has been described as trad and modern at the same time with rootsy celtic grooves, haunting harmonies, original song-writing and catchy melodies throughout.

Whispers -  EP

The 4 track debut ep from Acoustic Butterfly frontman Michael Clark was released at the start of 2016. These four tracks are a reflection of ideas and journeys from the heart of Glasgow city to the historic west coast of Scotland. The ep includes a highly original version of the traditional celtic poem 'raggle taggle gypsy'. The Whipsers ep is available on iTunesAmazon music and Spotify.

Irish Eyes  -  Mic Clark & Donal Boyle

Irish Eyes is on the Whispers EP. This video was recorded during lockdown as part of Mic's set with Arran fiddle player Donal Boyle as part of the Crofters Music Sessions on MyPlayer.uk

Acoustic Butterfly  -  Live @ Soundhaus Glasgow

Wild Blue Skies from our debut album, played live at the iconic Glasgow venue the Soundhaus. The gig was caught by Neil in a single shot on camcorder and features the original line-up with Livs, Ian, Doug and Mic. This was a brilliant gig put on by Dave Lummox as part of Oxjam. 

Glasgow Lockdown Video

A remote musical collaboration with Arran Harpist Heather McLeod. A simple video of phone clips showing the positive messages around Glasgow during the first Lockdown.
